Most of us didn’t sign up to be on daytime television as actors or hosts but for many of us, it feels like that’s exactly where we have ended up.  Added to the stress of working from home, pivoting a business and completely revamping policies, procedures and protocols, being on camera for most of our day can feel like it’s pushing us a little too far.

With a perfect blend of corporate experience and on-camera television background, Shona Welsh and Jan Bailey of OVATION Experts in Speaker Training want to help you dial down your adrenalin every time you turn on your laptop.  Though you may never make the official jump to television personality, this webinar will offer specific and actionable tips so you feel more confident in how you come across on camera.  We can’t help you prepare your report to the board, but we can certainly help you look more polished and professional when you deliver it at the Virtual Board Meeting.

The power of language on expectations

Connecting with an audience that is hidden behind a tiny camera at the top of your screen is a completely different animal than engaging them in the office.  You may have already noticed that dynamic in-person communicators don’t necessarily shine in Virtual meetings in the same way. On stage is not at all the same as acting for television or even for film; sometimes the performance just gets lost in the translation.  It is no different for those of us in the boardrooms.  A different media means a different focus and different strategies to capitalize on the change to virtual.

Whether we all end up back in the office in the next month or 3 or 6 is unclear.  However, what we do know for certain is that many companies will maintain the cost-saving practice of having at least some meetings online. It looks like your part time career in television is likely not going away completely.

Join Jan Bailey and Shona Welsh of OVATION experts in speaker training for the top 3 tips you can use to level up your performance at your next virtual meeting.
