As a Regional Innovation Centre, we’re always exploring new ways to better support founders. Sandbox Virtual Day is one of those activations! For one day, we’re taking our community online and bringing our programming, connections, and founder support into a fully virtual format. Whether you’re working from home, a coffee shop, your office, or between meetings, you’ll have access to peer support, founder conversations, networking opportunities, and Sandbox support from wherever you are.

The defence and dual-use sector is rapidly evolving, but for many companies, understanding how to enter the space, where opportunities exist, and what is realistically required can feel difficult to navigate. Dual-Use & Defence 101 Day is designed to provide a grounded, practical introduction to the defence ecosystem through direct conversations with leaders who have operated inside it.

This is a coworking day at Sandbox. Stay after breakfast, work from the space, take meetings, connect with other members, and use the day to reset, focus, and move your business forward alongside a community of ambitious people doing the same.

Members are encouraged to bring a guest so more founders and innovators can experience the community, workspace, and energy of Sandbox Centre.

In this Lunch & Learn session, entrepreneur and AI builder Sohaib Rumi breaks down how software really works in a way that finally makes sense. No coding experience required. No technical jargon. Just a practical look at how real business problems become real tools.

Sohaib Rumi is the Founder & CEO of Medozai and Neurozai, where he builds AI systems designed to reduce operational burden for clinical and business teams. His background spans pharmacy, healthcare operations, consulting, business development, and creative direction, giving him a practical, operator-first perspective on how technology should actually serve people.
