The Centre for Social Innovation refers to the concept as “The creation, development, adoption, and integration of new and renewed concepts, systems, and practices that put people and planet first”. For our part, we view it as a shift in choice, and mindset. Those who would embrace the core idea that a rising tide floats all boats. The health of the collective community socially and environmentally does not have to negatively impact us economically. In fact, through Social Innovation we would see an increase to all aspects of our community by making sensible change to the way we do things now.
